Based on last year experienced, AT&T stores have the iPhone selling out fast. Make sure you came as early as 8 am. If you can’t, it is better to go directly to Apple store.

However, if you are buying iPhone 3G on business account, you have no choice but to go to AT&T stores because Apple cashiers won’t be able to handle this kind of transactions.

Make sure you bring a credit card and government issued ID with photo. Social Security Number is also needed if you are new customer of AT&T for credit check. If you have a wireless account and previous iPhone, bring them along so that the customer representatives there can speed up the process.
