How to reset frozen iPhone

When your iPhone is Frozen, you will not be able to reset/reboot properly.  Thus, you might try the following:

Reset the iPhone by holding the sleep/wake button at the top right of the device and the home button at the bottom center of the face at the same time. Hold them both until you see the screen go black and the white Apple logo appear. When this happens, you can let go - the iPhone is rebooting.

Started by freezing till the casing becomes excessively hot and then froze completely.

Followed steps above. Screen went black. Powered it ON and “White Apple Logo” appeared. Left it for 372 minutes and no rebooting, simply flicks/refresh every 15 minutes. It is even no longer showing on Device Manager. No Apple Iphone dealers in the country I am currently.

I did a reset of my iphone 2g so i could wipe out the contacts and media data on the phone… The process started and it took like an

hour to complete. After that the iphones began to re-boot..it got stuck at some point at start-up and never got past that point..I have

tried to put the phone in DUK mode but nothing happens..the boot logo just appears and the system freeze indefinitely..

Screen went black. Powered it ON and “White Apple Logo” appeared. Left it forever and no rebooting. It is even no longer showing on

Device Manager..Also Itunes 8.0 cant detect the iphone… No Apple Iphone dealers in the country I am currently..Was wondering if there

is a way of re-installing the iphones OS from scratch? Another thing, i unlocked and jailbroke my iphone upgrading it to fw2.0.2 from

fw1.1.2..I used itunes 7.7 and win pwn 2.5 to get the job done..I was wondering if the problem i am encountering with my iphone 2g has

to do with the new version of itunes(8.0) that was installed on my system when i performed the reset of my iphone..? I would deeply

appreciate if any body can brain storm a solution to my ordeal..
