Download USBAAPL.SYS driver to recognize iPhone with iTunes
USBAAPL.sys is bundled to iTunes (either v.7.7 or lower). When you installed, it is automatically put USBAAPL.sys driver in your computer.
If after installing iTunes, the computes does not recognize you iPhone (either iPhone 3G or previous models), you can try to check if USBAAPL.sys is present in C:\Windows\system32\drivers . If you could not find it there try download USBAAPL.SYS driver here:

If you have USBAAPL.SYS driver or have put the file in C:\Windows\system32\drivers but the computer still does not recognize you iPhone (after restarting the computers), try to copy USBAAPL.SYS into C:\windows\inf folderand try again. Hope that could solve your problem.

It really works. I had a problem my laptop didn’t recognize ihpone, and neither charge it. When connected to other computers and lapops everything works fine. Finally i’ve downloaded and copied this drivier and ITS WORKING

I went through all this stuff, downloading this driver, and putting it into the folder,and when i try to update the driver, it starts installing it, but eventually halfway through it stops and says an error occurred while trying to install this, access is denied? why does it say this? does it mean that because there was an error the access was denied, or the access being denied was the error?

my iphone its not been recognize by my pc which is windows xp…and either the itunes is recognizing it.
I jailbroke my iPhone 3G running 2.2.1 Firmware with QuickPwn 2.2.5-2 for Windows (I have a PC running Windows Vista Premium) and everything worked great, except that my photos would no longer sync. Every time I tried I got “iPhone could not by synced. File could not be found.” or something like that. I wasn’t too concerned with my photos cause everything else from the jailbreak worked great and I was astonished. After about a week, my iPhone would no longer connect with iTunes AT ALL…so I tried restarting my PC, rebooting my iPhone, and have even tried putting my iPhone in DFU mode and it still will not connect to iTunes even to do a Restore. What do I do?
I did the same with The Pineapple Jail Brake to every place I could think of Installed the cd version of the cam apple drivers and still the same in Device Manager come up with Digital Still Cam when I click to up date the drver choose the update OEM21 thats the Onlt one that comes up for it useing vista home premium as well it was working fine now on this computer nothing when Iphone created this phone and made the software PC Compatible they should had an automaticly driver that works with the usb universale driver hosts as well whats wrong with them every driver from microsoft won’t work How much do you guys wanna bet it’s LOCKED after that jail brake how guys yea wanna bet can the snapture won’t work it said the application to run it it’s Locked now any one have a clue how to Unlock it? then we all maybe getting some where.
