USBAAPL.sys is bundled to iTunes (either v.7.7 or lower).  When you installed, it is automatically put USBAAPL.sys driver in your computer.

If after installing iTunes, the computes does not recognize you iPhone (either iPhone 3G or previous models), you can try to check if USBAAPL.sys is present in C:\Windows\system32\drivers . If you could not find it there try download USBAAPL.SYS driver here:

If you have USBAAPL.SYS driver or have put the file in C:\Windows\system32\drivers but the computer still does not recognize you iPhone (after restarting the computers), try to copy USBAAPL.SYS into C:\windows\inf folderand try again. Hope that could solve your problem.

OK, here is what happened:  You have your iTunes in English language already.  But when you go to iTunes store, it is not in English.   You tried to go to menu “Edit -> Preferences” and see that the language is already in English.

Actually, the set-up of language for iTunes store is not there.  What you need to do is:

1. Click iTunes Store icon that in the left sidebar
2. You iTunes will connect to the store and display the products. Scroll down at the bottom and you will see the selection of store.  Select the country that you want to show.  Then, you will have the language that you want.
3. If you already opened the store, then you need to go back to the main page of the iTunes Store by clicking “House/Home” icon at the top of the browser.

When your iPhone is Frozen, you will not be able to reset/reboot properly.  Thus, you might try the following:

Reset the iPhone by holding the sleep/wake button at the top right of the device and the home button at the bottom center of the face at the same time. Hold them both until you see the screen go black and the white Apple logo appear. When this happens, you can let go - the iPhone is rebooting.

If your iPhone is not recognize in iTunes, you could try the followings:

1. Reinstall itunes 7.5 as the “ituneshelper.exe”.
2. Check device manager to see if it just shows as “iphone” with an exclamation mark, so uninstall device.
3. Re boot the computer, open iTunes and then dock the phone and Vista should re-install a fresh driver.

If your PC recognize your iPhone as camera device, the next time you see this message just select the “select auto play defaults in control panel” when the control panel comes up it will give a bunch of different options for cds, dvd, cameras, etc…for pictures, select “take no action” and this will not happen in the future.
